IMPLEMENTATION FLOWCHART

The whole aim of “CHOOSE RESPECT” is to encourage school communities to work together to explicitly develop and then maintain a “CULTURE OF RESPECT”.

Interest generated from School Community
A representative from the school organises for the “Introduction to Choose Respect” presentation to be presented to all staff.


Choose Respect Presentation
(1 x 45 minute Powerpoint Presentation) Cost: $150.00 + Appropriate Travel Costs
Presentation: Introduction:
The basic concepts of “Choose Respect” are outlined.


School Administration and staff make a decision to run and implement Choose Respect.


Choose Respect Workshop
(4 x 30 minute Powerpoint Presentations) Cost: $250 + Appropriate Travel Costs

Note: These presentations can be given all in one visit or split over two visits to suit the time available for professional development of staff. Cost: 2 x $150 + Appropriate Travel Costs

Presentation One: Overview and Fundamental Principles
The basic concepts of Choose Respect are revisited.

Presentation Two: Seven Values:
The seven “Choose Respect” values are looked at in more depth.

Presentation Three: Classroom Strategies:
The fundamental Principles of Choose Respect are outlined, and five simple strategies to foster a "Culture of Respect" in the classroom are explored.

Presentation Four: Brainstorming Strategies:
Staff have an opportunity to brainstorm strategies to develop a "Culture of Respect" in their school community.


The Choose Respect Coordinator
A Choose Respect Coordinator is appointed to personally invite staff to become part of the a “Choose Respect” Committee.


The Choose Respect Committee
A committee of interested staff is formed to meet regularly to develop and implement strategies that will work together to foster a “Culture of Respect”.
